De Velasco is the creation of Designer Sana Redwani.

Sana asked if i would take photos for a upcoming show and lookbook that she will be releasing for her new line.
Modeled by the famous Laylaa, we set out into the Palmerie on a beautiful Marrakech day and came back with a great set of images.

Hotel Cesar

Hotel Cesar is Marrakech's newest Boutique hotel and Spa, incredible designed by Raymond Moral.

Hotel Cesar was a real pleasure to photography, with so many beautifully designed rooms and public spaces, the above images are just a small selection from the many photos that will accompany their website and marketing launch.

Wedding: Megan And Matt

Megan and Matt came to Marrakech from the U.S.A. to get married at the beautiful Les Terres M'Baraka.
After what was a beautiful ceremony, we took a little trip around Marrakech to take some photos of the new bride and groom.

It was a great pleasure to be with Megan and Matt on their special day and I really enjoyed spending time with them around Marrakech.

Above is a single frame from a panorama that I shot. At about 15 meters long and 6 meters high and in total 90,000 pixels wide! This is definitely the largest image I have ever made.

Education For All

A few weeks ago I made a trip up to Imlil to photograph the young women of Education For All.

Education For All has been established to help provide the opportunity of a college education for girls from rural Moroccan communities. Its first project, opened in 2007, has been to facilitate access to secondary education for up to 36 girls from the remote villages of the High Atlas Mountains by building a boarding house for them in the town of Asni, Since 2009 a new boarding house and school have been built in Talaat n’Yacoub, and now Ouirgane.

The Education for All network is recognized by UNESCO and is dedicated to working towards The United Nations Millennium Development Goal of promoting gender equality and empowering women.

I'm looking forward to continuing my association with Education For All and taking photos of such talented young women.

Vanessa Somers Mosaics

Vanessa is from the U.K. but has been a life long Moroccan resident and for many years she has been creating these beautiful mosaics. Recently she asked me if i would take some photos of her work for a show she will be having this summer in the U.S.

The photos will be printed in actuall size (Vanessa's mosaics are around 4-5 feet high and 3 feet wide) and will hang next to her original work which she was able to get to the States for the exhibt

Rallye du Maroc Classic

A few weeks back I was hired by the Palmeraie Golf Hotel and Resorts to photograph the 18th Edition of the Rallye du Maroc Classic. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love cars, especially classic. So it was a real pleasure to visit the Les Jardins d'Ines and take photos of such beautiful automobiles.

America's Next Top Model

Last November and December I was lucky enough (or maybe because I'm the only English speaking digital tech in the country) worked with American's Next Top Model. They where filming episodes here in Marrakech for their new Season. For almost 4 weeks I worked with a few of the most talented photographers, and cinematographers I've had the pleasure to be around. We filmed at two of my favorite locations La Pause and Sidi Kaouki, and shoot all around Marrakech.

I would like to give a big Thank You to my friend Massimo from Smashbox Studio. For letting me follow him around and learn a thing or two along way.

La Maassera Olive Grove

Not Long ago I was hired to shoot the Olive Grove of La Maassera in Meknes. I always enjoy going up to Menkes, it's a beautiful part of the country with it's countless Olive and Grape Vineyards. All set against the impressive backdrop of the Mid Atlas Mountains.

La Maassera and I will be collaborating on a new Label for their redesigned bottle's. Which i hope to beable to show you soon. So look out for that..

Space Project Y

A few months back Still images and Yahya Design teamed up for a project Photographing Yahya's incredible metal work for his new Gallery in Gueliz, Marrakech. During the shoot with Alan, I was able to borrow a few of Yahya's newest creations to use on a project I've been thinking about for awhile.

Above are a couple photos from that project. I've had the idea of space and planets bouncing around in my head for sometime, but could never really see the project fully until i saw Yahya's work.

Neil Forsyth

I had the pleasure of meeting Neil on a trip he made to Marrakech, after a few hours of discussing European vs. North African Football and "The Wire", I realized we had a lot in common. So I asked if I could take a couple of photos.

Neil has written two great books which have been extremely successful. And he's just released his first Novel "Let Them Come Through" which I hope to get my hands on soon.

LISA AND KARIM'S WEDDING

This week a couple from the Washington D.C. area came to Marrakech to get married. I was lucky enough to tag along with Lisa and Karim as they made their way through the souks of the Medina .

The Day started at Riad Magi and after a walk through the Medina and a short carriage ride we ended the evening with a beautiful ceremony at the Famous Dar Yacout Resturant.

ESAV:Class '10

I got a chance to shoot the Graduation class of 2010 not long ago. ESAV is the premier film school here in Morocco, and one that people should surly be taking notice of. Their is some real talent coming out of this Ecole, and I suspect many of the great films that Morocco will produce in the future will be made from the minds of these talented students.
